Forklift Operator/Driver

Job Description

The Warehouse Forklift Driver is a key operational role responsible for the physical movement, stacking, and storage of products. This role ensures that materials are handled safely and efficiently to support the overall mission of preventing product damage or loss as well as efficiently support production schedules.

Reporting to the Warehouse Team Leader, the Forklift Driver is responsible for the mechanical handling of products and equipment. The primary mission is to ensure safe storage, prevent product loss, and maintain an organized workspace through efficient loading, unloading, and transporting of materials.

This is an execution-heavy role focused on ensuring safe and efficient stock movement.

1. Material Movement & Logistics

• Execute the loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving of warehouse items.
• Transport materials to various locations within the facility to support operational flow.
• Pick and wrap orders specifically for shipment to ensure they are secure and ready for transport.
• Adhere strictly to production schedules to ensure timely material availability.
• Assure inventory organization within the warehouse during material movement (i.e. block identification and NC segregation)

1. Operational Efficiency

• Optimize loads during transport to maximize operational efficiency.
• Secure all loads to the machine properly before beginning transportation to prevent damage.
• Manage inventory accuracy by utilizing RF scanning equipment for all movements.
• Maintain the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method for physical stock rotation.

1. Equipment & Safety Management

• Operate and manage technical machinery and equipment with precision.
• Conduct daily inspections for damages to vehicles and equipment.
• Schedule vehicles for necessary maintenance and repairs through the coordination of the maintenance team.
• Identify workplace safety hazards and ensure the team adheres to safety management standards.
• Perform operational activity within safety management standards.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness (0 spillage, floor swept) and follow 5S/6S programs.
