Akari Lighting and Technology Corporation is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Officer to join our team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our inventory management systems.As Inventory Control Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing stock levels, ensuring optimal inventory turnover, and implementing control measures that directly impact our operational performance and profitability. This position is essential to supporting our manufacturing and logistics operations and ensuring seamless supply chain management across the organization.

Job description:
The Inventory Control Officer ensures accurate and compliant inventory management by monitoring reports, validating retail inventories and computing stock values. The role supports audits, maintains historical physical count data and prepares consolidated month end reports to provide visibility of stock availability across branches.It also coordinates with Customer Service Representatives and HRD to address discrepancies and non-compliance, while upholding company policies, professionalism and collaboration across departments.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Monitor and Validate inventory reports
- Download and recompute month end inventory reports from retail stores and maintain a consolidated inventory report to monitor stock availability per store
- Track branch submissions of monthly inventory reports, identify non-compliant branches, and prepare Notices to Explain (NTE) for submission to HRD for documentation and action
- Review and check retail sales order forms per business unit
- Store Audit
- Maintain historical data of physical counts every month and update the VMS portal based on physical counts submitted by field auditors
- Maintain the ending balance of audited retail stores
- Communication and Coordination
- Coordinate with Customer Service Representative to clarify unclear or inconsistent inventory information noted in reports submitted by promodisers
- Identify and coordinate with HRD for the branches subject to NTE due to non-submission of inventory reports
- Ensure proper documentation and timely follow-up to maintain inventory accuracy and compliance
- Computation and Monitoring
- Ensure the accuracy of inventory reports submitted by promodisers, including item models, quantities and prices to support proper monitoring and decision-making.
- Record and monitor travel expenses from field auditors
- Reports
- Prepare a summary of branches subject to NTE due to the non-submission of month-end inventory reports
- Prepare a consolidated month-end inventory report from retail stores to provide clear visibility of stock availability per branch and support inventory monitoring and order approvals
- Perform other related functions as may be assigned by the immediate superior.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field
- With 1-2 yrs experience in inventory management, logistics or retail operations preferred
- Knowledge of inventory control processes and retail inventory operations
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory systems
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prepare reports and analyze data
- Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple tasks
