Driver
About the role
LEC Steel Manufacturing Corp. is seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our transport and logistics team in Metro Manila. This is a full-time position responsible for the safe and timely delivery of steel manufacturing products and materials to customers and job sites across the region.As a Driver, you will be a key member of our operations team, ensuring that our products reach their destinations in excellent condition whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service.
What you'll be doing- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently, following all traffic regulations and company driving policies
- Transport steel products and raw materials to designated locations, customers, and construction sites
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption and vehicle maintenance
- Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of materials
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays or issues
- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle interior and exterior
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide professional customer service during deliveries
- Report any vehicle defects, accidents or safety concerns to management immediately
- Comply with all health and safety regulations and company protocols at all times
- Valid professional driver's license (Class 2 or higher) with a clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience, preferably in commercial or logistics operations
- Demonstrated knowledge of Metro Manila routes, traffic patterns and road conditions
- Excellent vehicle operation and maintenance skills with understanding of basic vehicle troubleshooting
- Strong organisational and time management abilities to meet delivery schedules consistently
- Professional communication skills and a customer-focused approach to service delivery
- Ability to lift and handle heavy materials safely, with good physical fitness
- Knowledge of cargo securing and weight distribution best practices
- Familiarity with delivery documentation and record-keeping procedures
- Commitment to safety protocols and accident prevention
- Reliable, punctual and professional attitude with strong work ethic
