Accountant CPA (Staff)

Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Officer/Staff to handle key functions in treasury, collection, and disbursement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions, preparing reports, and supporting the accounting department's daily operations.

Responsibilities:

• Treasury:
• Prepare and release checks, ensuring proper documentation and signatures.
• Update passbooks and monitor bank balances.
• Validate online payments and check deposits.
• Prepare daily cash position reports.
• Collection:
• Check daily collection reports and ensure accuracy of supporting documents.
• Encode receipts and maintain accounts receivable schedules.
• Monitor student payments and follow up on past due accounts.
• Prepare billing invoices and statements of account.
• Disbursement:
• Prepare checks and check vouchers with supporting documentation.
• Process and liquidate cash advances.
• Prepare journal vouchers for various transactions.
• Maintain schedules for balance sheet and income/expense accounts.
• Prepare input VAT schedules.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA license is preferred.
• Experience in accounting, particularly in treasury, collection, or disbursement, is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
