Procurement Engineer
We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Procurement Engineer to handle sourcing, tendering, subcontracting, and vendor management activities for various construction trades and project requirements. The role is responsible for evaluating suppliers and subcontractors, managing procurement processes, and ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery of materials and services for construction projects.
Qualifications- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field), Architecture, Construction Management, or any relevant technical course
- At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, subcontracting, or supply chain management within the construction industry
- With working knowledge of construction materials, equipment, subcontracting processes, and vendor contracts/agreements
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and commercial evaluation skills
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP/Procurement systems such as SAP or equivalent
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced construction environment
- Can start ASAP
- Handle procurement and subcontracting activities for various construction trades and project requirements
- Source, evaluate, and maintain a reliable pool of suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors
- Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation/Proposal (RFQ/RFP) and manage tender communications
- Conduct technical and commercial evaluation of bids and recommend the most competitive proposals
- Prepare bid tabulations, procurement comparisons, and other necessary procurement documents
- Review purchase requisitions, technical specifications, scope of work, and project schedules prior to procurement activities
- Coordinate with project, engineering, QS, and construction teams to ensure alignment of procurement requirements
- Facilitate pre-award and pre-mobilization meetings with suppliers and subcontractors
- Monitor supplier and subcontractor performance, including delivery schedules, quality, variations, claims, and contract compliance
- Assist in improving procurement processes, vendor performance, and cost optimization initiatives
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of procurement records, contracts, and agreements
