Senior Content Writer
Job Description
The Senior Content Writer is responsible for developing a wide range of written materials, including news announcements and stories, targeted at both internal and external audiences through clear, consistent, and client-centric content. This role involves requirements gathering, client coordination, strategization on the messaging of the content, development of the materials consistent with the ADB Handbook of Style and Usage, and review of the effectiveness of the content.
Specific tasks and job duties of the position that are required on a daily basis.- Client coordination:
- Gain leads for potential stories that can be promoted bank wide or within the department
- Liaise and maintain coordination with product and client teams
- Carry out client interviews, with a list of incisive questions that helps Identify information that is highly informative, relevant, or resonant
- Development and publication of materials
- Develop, edit, and improve upon written communications to create compelling narratives, which include but are not limited to:
c.Presentations
d.E-mails
e.News announcements
f.Corporate stories
g.Corporate social media posts
h.Reports and publications
i.Copywriting for posters and banners
j.Storyboard for videos
k.Blogs- Ensure that written communications are aligned with ITD messaging and the ADB Handbook of Style and Usage
- Monitor the performance of written communications through engagement metrics such as views, likes, and comments.
- Communications support
- Standards and best practices
- Develop and maintain editorial standards, templates, and resources to support the production of high-quality written materials.
- Stay informed about best practices in editing, storytelling, corporate communications, and related fields, and integrating new insights and approaches into ITD communications.
Education and Work Experience
A minimum of five years of experience in professional editing, corporate communications, or adjacent fields.
At least three years of solid experience in international organizations.
Technical Knowledge
Experience in developing both high-level strategic communications and detailed output work.
Excellent oral and written English knowledge.
Advanced understanding of new and evolving technologies and digital platforms is an advantage.
Experience in planning and executing communications campaign is an advantage
An overall awareness and understanding of ADB's business processes and guidelines, including the Handbook of Style and Usage, are an advantage.

Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy and consistency in written materials.
Capable of working in high pressure environments.
