Category Associate
JOB SUMMARY:
In this position, you will play an important role in coming up with strategic sourcing engagements that bring together the right partners and product mix for our customers. You must be passionate about e-commerce and create the best customer and seller experiences, and have deep knowledge of the dynamics of this fast-paced sector across multiple categories.You will need to manage profit and loss from a strategy, business development, marketing, and operational viewpoint, and draw on a range of tools - from data to strategic business insights, to grow category revenue.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop overall category strategy and action plans
- Provide category insights by analyzing internal and market data (sales trends, market trends, competitor analysis, pricing analysis, buying habits etc.)
- Engage with brands and develop growth opportunities inside and outside the platform
- Provide inputs related to any category related topics and decisions
- Develop and optimize strategies and best practices that drive category success and growth
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, innovation and scale within the category
- Other tasks and responsibilities that may arise as the company progresses
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- With at least 1-2 years of FMCG Key Account Management experience and up (or relevant Key Account Management experience)
- Preferably with ecommerce experience
- With brand knowledge and experience is a plus
- Analytical and Solution Oriented
- Excellent in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong Negotiation Skills
- Self-starter, can work independently
- Can work under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal with proven ability to represent your organization in external meetings
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize them and meet deadlines
- Team spirit and enthusiasm about learning
Work Arrangement:
This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring two (2) days onsite at our Aseana City, Parañaque office and allowing three (3) days work from home each week
