Job Description
Terra Solar Philippines, Inc. is looking for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Engineers to support the implementation and commissioning of one of the world’s largest integrated solar and battery storage projects. We are hiring:
- Mechanical Engineer
- Civil Engineer
- Electrical Engineer
These roles will be responsible for providing technical oversight, reviewing engineering deliverables, coordinating with contractors and consultants, and ensuring that all BESS-related works are executed in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes.
Key Responsibilities
Common Responsibilities (All Disciplines)- Review design drawings, technical specifications, and engineering calculations related to BESS facilities.
- Coordinate with EPC contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal project teams.
- Monitor construction and installation activities to ensure compliance with approved plans and standards.
- Support testing, commissioning, energization, and turnover activities.
- Identify technical issues and recommend practical solutions.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
- Review HVAC, fire protection, cooling systems, and mechanical components of BESS containers and auxiliary systems.
- Monitor installation and testing of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Verify compliance with manufacturer requirements and project specifications.
- Review site grading, drainage, foundations, access roads, and structural works related to BESS facilities.
- Monitor earthworks, concrete, and structural construction activities.
- Coordinate resolution of field issues affecting civil and structural components.
- Review MV/LV systems, protection and control, SCADA interfaces, transformers, switchgear, and battery systems.
- Support electrical testing, energization, and grid compliance activities.
- Coordinate with National Grid Corporation of the Philippines and other stakeholders on technical requirements, where applicable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Licensed Engineer (PRC Registered) preferred.
- At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in power, renewable energy, industrial, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Experience in solar, substation, transmission, or battery energy storage projects is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in engineering software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Willing to work in a project-based arrangement.
