Junior Programmer

Symon Systems and Allied Services, Inc. has been established last August 10, 2015. The company has been in operation for the last 1 year and is now expending its operation here in the Philippines as well as in Abroad.

JUNIOR PROGRAMMER

• Write, test, and maintain code based on project requirements
• Assist senior developers in designing and implementing software solutions
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues, fixing bugs and improving performance
• Participate in code reviews to learn best practices and improve code quality
• Collaborate with team members (developers, designers, QA testers) on projects
• Follow coding standards, documentation, and development processes
• Help maintain and update existing applications or systems
• Write and maintain technical documentation
• Test applications to ensure functionality, usability, and security
• Learn new programming languages, tools, and technologies as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong understanding of basic programming concepts (variables, loops, functions, OOP)
• Knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#)
• Familiarity with databases (SQL, MySQL, or similar)
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Basic knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) (if applicable)
• Familiarity with frameworks or libraries is a plus
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot code
• Basic understanding of APIs and integration

• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Attention to detail

• Internship or project experience in software development
• Portfolio of personal or academic projects (e.g., GitHub)
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Basic knowledge of testing and debugging
