Freight Specialist - Quezon City

Job Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or Shipping Operations
• Proven experience in vessel scheduling, coordination with international suppliers, and logistics cost analysis
• Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of logistics cost structures
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills to coordinate with suppliers, surveyors, agents, and internal teams
• Proficient in using logistics, shipment tracking, and planning software
• Knowledge of international shipping documentation, incoterms, and industry best practices
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments and schedules simultaneously
• Capable of handling claims, disputes, and issuing Letter of Protest when necessary
• Results-oriented with a focus on continuous process improvement and operational efficiency
• Excellent in written and verbal communication skills
• Can start ASAP

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage optimized shipment schedules aligned with commodity availability and operational timelines
• Monitor and ensure timely movement of shipments from load port to disport
• Conduct comparative vessel and routing analyses to determine cost-effective freight solutions
• Serve as the main point of contract for external partners including suppliers, surveyors, cargo handlers, and shipping agents
• Ensure consistent and accurate reporting from all logistical partners
• Evaluate and recommend surveyors and agents based on performance metrics and cost analysis
• Validate Landed Total Cost (LTC) computations to support procurement and finance teams in budgeting and pricing decisions
• Handle logistical claims and disputes, including issuing Letters of Protest, and coordinating with relevant parties for resolution
• Verify and document hatch cleanliness and quality to ensure compliance with cargo requirements
• Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend improvements to logistics processes and systems
• Proactively address shipping issues, delays, and discrepancies to minimize impact on operations
