Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:
Medical Billing & Insurance Processing
Medical Record & Documentation Management
Data Management & Reporting
Operational Oversight- Submit and follow up on claims to commercial insurance companies
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for new and existing patients
- Ensure accurate billing documentation and compliance with standard billing practices
- Work denials and appeals in a timely and efficient manner
- Communicate with patients regarding balances, billing issues, and payment plans
- Post payments, adjustments, and reconcile accounts regularly
- Maintain, update, and organize patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Digitize, scan, and file documents for accurate, easy retrieval
- Ensure secure data storage and legal compliance in all documentation
- Build and maintain organized trackers, logs, and reports in Google Sheets
- Analyze data to identify trends and inefficiencies
- Present actionable insights to improve operations and administrative workflows
- Monitor daily operations and improve workflow efficiency
- Maintain inventory of office supplies and place timely orders
- Coordinate staff training and onboarding processes
Job RequirementsRequirements:
- 2+ years of experience in U.S. medical billing, preferably in a specialty clinic
- Knowledge of HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and insurance claim workflows
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and practice management software
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and competing priorities
- Strong problem-solving and leadership skills
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- High emotional intelligence and interpersonal awareness
- Proficiency in Google Sheets and general tech tools
- Good command of American English
- Interest in growing into a long-term leadership role
