Financial Spreading Analyst

Financial Spready Analyst:

• Organize and maintain client financial documents (e.g., financial statements, reports, and loan files) in internal systems.
• Input and map financial data into credit and portfolio models, ensuring accuracy and alignment with internal standards.
• Validate financial statements for completeness, consistency, and compliance with U.S. GAAP or IFRS.
• Identify discrepancies or red flags and escalate significant issues to the Senior Credit Risk Analyst.
• Determine whether financials are cash- or accrual-based and flag accordingly.
• Update and maintain financial models, ensuring data accuracy and proper cost categorization.
• Prepare and update models for underwriting and portfolio monitoring, including monthly reviews and new applications.
• Perform initial policy checks to ensure compliance with internal credit requirements.
• Contribute to process improvements in financial spreading and documentation.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
2. 1–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial analysis (preferably in lending or credit)
3. Strong understanding of financial statements and their interrelationships
4. Knowledge of financial ratios, working capital, and basic credit/risk analysis
5. Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling tools
6. Familiarity with accrual and cash-based accounting, and U.S. GAAP or IFRS
7. Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to work in a collaborative environment
8. Strong communication skills
