Accounting Associate
About the role
Sonic Sales & Distribution, Inc.' is seeking an Accounting Associate to join our team in Davao City, Davao del Sur. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development within our dynamic organisation. As the Accounting Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance and accounting functions, contributing to the overall success of the company.
What you'll be doing- Perform general accounting duties, including accounts payable and receivable processing, bank reconciliations, and maintenance of financial records
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, reports, and other accounting-related documents
- Support the accounts payable and receivable teams, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial information and assist with various accounting and reporting tasks
- Participate in the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and procedures
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and controls
- Perform other ad-hoc accounting and administrative duties as required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in a similar industry (Fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting
- Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
