They are based in Canada with operations extending to the US, and are looking to establish a strategic social media presence to support their growth in the energy sector.

Job Description

You'll create content, develop posting strategies, and drive engagement without needing day-to-day direction. This role is perfect for a self-starter who can take technical content and transform it into compelling social media narratives that resonate with industry audiences.

• Flexible during client business hours, Canadian Time (Alberta)

• Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy for LinkedIn and Instagram
• Manage and run company social media accounts independently with minimal oversight
• Create engaging content that translates technical oil and gas industry topics for social audiences
• Build and maintain a consistent social media presence that enhances brand visibility
• Develop content calendars and posting schedules that align with business objectives
• Adapt technical content provided by the company into social-friendly formats
• Drive follower growth and engagement across managed platforms
• Monitor trends in the energy sector to inform content strategy

• Mid-level experience with 2-5 years in social media management
• Proven ability to work independently and develop social media strategies without heavy guidance
• Demonstrated self-sufficiency in content creation and campaign execution
• Experience managing LinkedIn and Instagram accounts professionally
• Strong portfolio showcasing previous social media work and results
• Ability to understand and communicate technical content to broader audiences
• Excellent communication skills
