The Technical Assistant is responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. The role also involves providing on-site technical support, transporting tools, materials, and personnel to various project locations, and ensuring that all assigned tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical wiring, equipment, lighting, and other electrical systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Support technicians during site inspections, installations, and repair works.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify electrical issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Ensure proper handling and maintenance of tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
- Drive company vehicles (4-wheel) to transport personnel, tools, materials, and equipment to project sites.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and service vehicle.
- Prepare service reports, maintenance records, and other required documentation.
- Follow company safety policies, electrical standards, and operational procedures.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate, Vocational Graduate, or College Level in Electrical Technology, Electrical Installation and Maintenance, or a related field.
- With experience as an Electrician, Technical Assistant, or in a similar technical role.
- Knowledgeable in electrical installation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical drawings is an advantage.
- Must possess a valid Professional Driver's License with the ability to drive a 4-wheel vehicle.
- Familiar with road safety regulations and willing to travel to different project locations.
- Physically fit and willing to work in field assignments.
- Responsible, trustworthy, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willing to render overtime and work on weekends or holidays when necessary.
