Manila - Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description

You will play a critical role in maintaining smooth financial operations by overseeing vendor payments, resolving discrepancies, and supporting continuous process improvements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of solid experience in accounts payable, with a mandatory background in the manufacturing/construction industry.
• Proven ability to handle high-volume transactions and complex reconciliations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage 300 SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Good interpersonal skills and communicate at all levels.
• Flexibility and ability to change within dynamic environments.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines & attention to detail

• Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring they are accurate, complete, and comply with company approval policies.
• Matching invoices to purchase orders (PO) & delivery dockets and checking values.
• Data entry of PO, matching pricing according to supplier pricelists.
• Receipt (PO) and creditor of invoice entry.
• Develop relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and resolving discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures related to accounts payable.
• Creditor reconciliation to monthly statements.
• Process payments for suppliers & subcontractors. Upload payment files to the bank.
• Assist in preparation of payment report.
• Other Ad hoc duties as required
