Safety Officer III

Job description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with DOLE Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards and other regulatory requirements
• Develop, implement, and monitor workplace safety policies and procedures
• Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments in warehouse operations
• Lead incident investigations and recommend corrective and preventive actions
• Facilitate safety training, toolbox meetings, and emergency drills
• Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation in compliance with government standards
• Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies on safety-related matters
• Promote continuous improvement of safety practices and awareness among employees

Qualifications:

• Must be a certified Safety Officer 3 (SO3) accredited by DOLE
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, or any related field
• Minimum of 3–5 years experience in safety management, preferably in warehouse or logistics operations
• Strong knowledge of OSH standards, risk assessment, and incident investigation
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Detail-oriented and highly organized

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in high-volume warehouse or distribution centers
• Knowledge in emergency response and crisis management
• First Aid and BOSH/COSH certification is an advantage
