Overview
This role is customer-facing and involves both telephone and remote ticketing support. The Helpdesk Specialist will handle ticket creation, documentation, troubleshooting, and escalation to advanced technicians, tech leads, or system administrators.
Job Highlights- Monthly Rate: PHP 45,000- 48,000
- Number of Paid Hours Per Week: 40 hours (Monday–Friday, 8am to 4pm Mt. Laurel Township, NJ time)
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm (Mt. Laurel Township, NJ time)
- Work Arrangement: Work from home
- Contract: Independent Contractor
- Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
- Create and update support tickets with accurate documentation
- Provide daily Helpdesk support, ticket management, and escalation
- Support Office 365 applications (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Perform remote new PC setup
- Provide basic support for Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams
- Troubleshoot Windows 10/11 (monitor, display, core features)
- Install and troubleshoot printers and scanners
- Conduct basic internet outage troubleshooting
- Handle warranty requests and RMAs
Requirements
Education & Experience- 1–2 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or a similar role
- Experience with Office 365 applications (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Familiarity with Windows 10 & 11 troubleshooting
- Experience with printer and scanner setup/troubleshooting
- Basic networking knowledge (internet outage troubleshooting)
- Experience with remote PC setup and configuration
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook account setup and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (ribbon, printing, menu options)
- Basic troubleshooting skills for Microsoft Teams
- Ability to assist with Microsoft MFA enrollment and password resets
- Experience with Remote Monitoring & Patch Management tools (reboots, updates)
- Familiarity with Barracuda spam email support
- Experience with backup monitoring and support
- Ability to process warranty requests and RMAs
- Advanced English reading & writing comprehension (critical for ticket documentation)
- Strong customer service skills via phone and remote ticketing systems
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to document issues and resolutions accurately
- Ability to escalate complex issues to advanced technicians, tech leads, or system administrators
