Assistant general manager
Job Description
Posted on 22 April 2026- Assist in implementing strategic plans and operational policies.
- Act as deputy in the absence of the General Manager.
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including inventory control and logistics scheduling.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of perishable and non-perishable goods.
- Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance needs.
- Support compliance with government regulations and food safety standards.
- Prepare operational reports and assist in budget monitoring.
- Track expenses and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Supervise staff and ensure adherence to operational standards.
- Coordinate with clients and suppliers, including Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
- Provide training and support to staff for efficiency and safety.
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.Experience: Minimum 5-8 years in warehouse, logistics, or cold chain operations; at least 3+ years in supervisory/mid-management.
Skills & Competences:
- Organization and supervisory skills
- Warehouse operations
- Expertise in cold chain logistics, refrigeration systems, and warehouse operations
- Financial and budget management
- Regulatory compliance (BFAR, FDA, DOLE, DENR standards)
- Client relationship management and stakeholder engagement
Language: Must be able to read and write (at least basic) Fookien or Mandarin Chinese for communication with Chinese supplies, clients and stakeholder.
