Responsible to facilitate the seamless transition of data from legacy systems to modern platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring data accuracy, security, and efficiency during migration. Let’s dive into the specifics of this role:

Data Extraction and Transformation:

• Extract data from legacy systems, ensuring completeness and accuracy
• Transform and cleanse data as needed to meet the requirements of the target system

Scalable Data Pipelines:

• Leverage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) or ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes to build scalable data pipelines
• Design and implement efficient data movement workflows

Automation and Orchestration:

• Use DevOps tools and orchestration frameworks to automate data migration processes
• Ensure reliable execution of data pipelines

Collaboration with Enterprise Architects:

• Work closely with enterprise architects to analyze the current state of data systems
• Contribute to defining the target state architecture for data migration

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Alternatively, an Associate degree with a minimum of 6 years of equivalent work experience
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience building and operationalizing large-scale enterprise data solutions
• Familiarity with third-party resources such as Pyspark, Talend, Matillion, Informatica, or native Azure utilities (e.g., Azure Functions, Azure SQL DB/DW, Data Factory, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Analysis Service, Databricks, Azure Data Catalog, Cosmos DB, etc.)
• Experience migrating data from legacy systems (e.g., Hadoop, Exadata, Oracle, Teradata, Netezza)
• Implementation of DevOps practices on the Azure platform
• Multi-cloud experience
• Azure Certification: Active certification in Azure Fundamentals
