Senior Finance Officer

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, finance, or any relevant
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage
• Must have at least five (5) years or more in a supervisory/managerial level in the field of accounting and finance
• Deep understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
• Strong reconciliation skills
• Strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of information
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete work within established deadlines and to maintain a consistent level of professionalism
• Excellent communication skills and proven leadership skills
• Analytical and conflict resolution skills

FUNCTIONS: ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage financial accounting processes, monitor financial transactions, and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• End-to-end Accounts Payable including processing invoices, uploading vendor payments to banking files, remittance advices, and responding to vendor queries.
• Maintain Inboxes – Accounts Payable invoice submissions and queries from Suppliers and Clients.
• Preparation of financial statements and reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Payroll processing including expense reimbursement management.
• Reviewing and assessing the work of junior staff.
• Preparation and lodgment of payroll tax reporting and payments.
• Periodic bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Assist in preparation of General Ledger reconciliations
• Preparation and review of general ledger, trial balance, sales book, cash receipt book and cash disbursement book and month end closing report.
• Oversees and ensures timely and accurate posting of journal entries.
• Analyze profit & loss accounts and balance sheet trends and variances.
• Provide recommendations for the implementation of policies and procedures of the Finance Department for the improvement of the accounting processes and financial stability of a company.
• Other relevant tasks that maybe assigned from time-to-time.
