MULTI SKILLED TECHNICIAN

About the role

As a Multi Skilled Technician, you will be responsible for performing a diverse range of maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring that all systems and facilities operate efficiently and safely. This role is essential to our commitment to providing exceptional facilities management services to our clients and maintaining high standards of property care.

1. Perform routine maintenance and preventative servicing on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment
2. Diagnose and repair equipment faults, conducting troubleshooting to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
3. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency calls, ensuring minimal disruption to building operations
4. Conduct regular inspections of facilities, building structures, and common areas to identify maintenance needs and potential safety hazards
5. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work completed, including parts used, hours worked, and work orders
6. Perform general repairs and modifications to building components, furniture, and fixtures as required
7. Assist in coordinating with external contractors and suppliers when specialized services are needed
8. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building regulations during all maintenance activities
9. Maintain a clean and organized workshop and store tools and equipment properly
10. Support the facilities management team in delivering excellent customer service to building occupants

1. Proven experience as a Multi Skilled Technician, General Maintenance Technician, or similar role within facilities management, body corporate, or property management environments
2. Sound knowledge and practical experience in multiple maintenance disciplines, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general mechanical work
3. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and maintenance manuals
4. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose faults and implement repairs independently
5. Excellent organizational skills and ability to priorities multiple maintenance requests effectively
6. Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to health and safety standards
7. Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members and building occupants
8. Physical fitness to perform tasks that may involve lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions
9. Valid driver's license and access to reliable transport
10. Relevant certifications or qualifications in maintenance trades are highly desirable
11. Experience in using computerized maintenance management systems is advantageous
