Hvac technician

• System Installation & Repair: Installing, repairing, and replacing HVAC components such as compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, and ductwork.
• Maintenance: Performing preventative maintenance, including cleaning coils, replacing filters, and calibrating equipment to ensure efficiency.
• Diagnostics: Troubleshooting malfunctions in heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems to determine root causes.
• Compliance: Adhering to safety standards (OSHA), building codes, and environmental regulations regarding refrigerant handling.
• Customer Service: Discussing system issues with clients, providing recommendations, and completing required service documentation.

• Education: High school diploma TESDA CERTIFICATE plus completion of an HVAC training program or apprenticeship.
• Certification: EPA Section 608 Certification for handling refrigerants is required.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical circuits, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or varied weather conditions.
• Tools: Proficiency in using specialized tools (e.g., manifold gauges, vacuum pumps, voltmeters). [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
