III. JOB SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will lead a team of finance professionals and ensure efficient and accurate execution of financial processes. You will oversee and manage various financial aspects to ensure the entity's financial health and strategic success.
Key responsibilities include financial planning and analysis, risk management, capital management, financial reporting, cash flow management, investment decisions, financial compliance, and providing strategic financial advice. This role maintains financial stability, optimises resource allocation, and contributes to decision-making processes that align with the organisation's goals.

Expertise extends to building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, ensuring adherence to financial regulations, and offering valuable insights to support overall business success and sustainability.

IV. WHAT YOU’LL DO

Financial Analysis
  • Oversee daily accounting operations (procurement, AP/AR, payroll, invoicing, fixed assets, monthly close)
  • Analyse financial statements: trends, key drivers, and policy impacts
  • Build financial models to forecast performance (seasonality, growth, market factors)
  • Identify and assess financial risks (credit, market, operational)
  • Evaluate investments using NPV, IRR; recommend capital allocation decisions
  • Support long-term financial strategy and assess strategic impacts
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations (IFRS, SEC)
Financial Reporting
  • Oversee daily accounting operations (procurement, AP/AR, payroll, invoicing, fixed assets, monthly close)
  • Prepare and present accurate, timely financial reports per standards
  • Apply accounting standards to complex transactions (revenue, leases, instruments)
  • Use ERP/reporting systems for accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements
  • Provide financial insights to support decision-making
Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Develop budgets using stakeholder input, historical data, and key assumptions
  • Apply forecasting methods (trend, regression, time series)
  • Analyse budgets, identify trends, and recommend actions
  • Maintain rolling forecasts
  • Present budget reports highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Collaborate with management on strategic budgeting
  • Build models for scenario and sensitivity analysis
  • Forecast and manage cash flow; improve liquidity
  • Enhance budgeting processes through automation and efficiency improvements
  • Develop KPIs to monitor and improve budget performance
Taxation and Audit
  • Support CFO in tax planning and optimisation
  • Plan and execute audits (risk assessment, control testing)
  • Prepare tax provisions and disclosures
  • Review tax returns for accuracy and compliance
Financial Planning and Strategy
  • Manage and optimise cash flow
  • Conduct cash forecasts and mitigate liquidity risks
  • Support CEO/CFO with financial analysis and strategic planning
  • Evaluate investments (cost-benefit, ROI, risk)
  • Align financial plans with organisational goals
  • Assess investment viability (projects, acquisitions, instruments)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on financial strategy
  • Optimise capital structure (debt/equity)
  • Support M&A activities (due diligence, valuation, integration)
Risk Management
  • Identify and mitigate financial and market risks
  • Support audits to improve controls and reporting accuracy
  • Identify operational risks (process, technology, human error)
  • Assist in developing risk governance frameworks
  • Maintain compliance frameworks and internal controls
  • Monitor risk mitigation and report status
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning
Policies, Process Management, and Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations (BIR, PEZA, SEC)
  • Manage compliance programs and strategies
  • Conduct compliance audits and reporting
  • Standardise processes and drive automation initiatives
Continuous Improvement and Data Analytics
  • Identify and implement process automation opportunities
  • Analyse processes, identify gaps, and drive improvements
  • Detect inefficiencies and recommend solutions
  • Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Support change management initiatives
  • Develop KPIs to track performance and improvements
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement
 V.  REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or related field; MBA/CFA/CMA/CPA is a plus
  • 10+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Strong expertise in financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Deep knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory compliance (BIR, PEZA)
  • Proficient in ERP systems (QBO, Xero) and advanced Excel
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Detail-oriented; able to work under pressure
  • Collaborative in fast-paced environments
  • High integrity and confidentiality
