Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance on company vehicles, including oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and other preventive measures.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and recommend necessary repairs.
- Perform repairs on various vehicle systems, such as engines, transmissions, braking systems, and air conditioning units.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance work comply with safety and manufacturer standards.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Monitor vehicle performance to identify potential issues and recommend proactive solutions.
- Ensure timely completion of maintenance schedules to prevent vehicle downtime.
- Collaborate with drivers and fleet managers to address vehicle concerns promptly.
- Order and maintain an inventory of automotive parts and supplies as needed.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- High School Diploma or Vocational/Technical Certification in Automotive Technology or a related field
Experience:
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience as an Automotive Mechanic, preferably with experience maintaining company or fleet vehicles.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in vehicles.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and hand tools.
- Ability to read and understand vehicle repair manuals and schematics.
