About the Role:
The Carrier Sales Representative is responsible for building and maintaining a network of carriers, negotiating agreements, and ensuring timely load assignments. This role requires strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills to secure carriers for transportation assignments and achieve operational and sales targets within the logistics and transportation industry.
Functions- Monitor and report the real-time status of shipments, including any updates, issues, delays, or changes during the movement of goods.
- Secure and review all necessary documentation to support logistics processes across air, sea, and land transport.
- Coordinate logistics activities through back-office support and logistics-related calls to ensure timely and accurate shipment movement.
- Meet performance expectations, KPIs, and targets established by the client or immediate supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, client standards, quality guidelines, and safety regulations.
- Support operational efficiency by communicating proactively with internal teams, carriers, and client stakeholders as needed.
- Assist in process adherence, issue escalation, and completion of required administrative tasks.
- Graduate or currently pursuing a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in logistics coordination, supply chain support, back-office operations, or customer service (preferred; open to fresh graduates with strong potential).
- English proficiency (B2–C1) with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to identify issues and escalate appropriately.
- Willingness to work in shifting schedules, holidays, or weekends depending on client needs.
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, and commitment to accuracy and service quality.
- Familiarity with logistics documentation (BOL, POD, invoices, airway bills, etc.).
- Basic understanding of air, sea, and land freight processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
