About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Technical Researcher / Sourcer to support executive search and recruitment projects for high-growth US technology companies.
This is a research-driven sourcing role focused on identifying passive talent rather than processing inbound applicants. You'll conduct market mapping, build talent pipelines, and partner with recruiters to identify highly qualified Engineering, Product, and Design professionals.

Key Responsibilities
Talent Research & Market Mapping- Research talent markets across Engineering, Product, and Design.
- Build target company lists and talent maps.
- Identify passive candidates through multiple sourcing channels.
- Track talent movement, hiring trends, and market activity.
- Source candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Crunchbase, and other research platforms.
- Perform advanced Boolean searches.
- Develop high-quality candidate pipelines.
- Create personalized outreach for passive candidates.
- Research funding activity, company growth, hiring trends, and competitor movement.
- Provide recruiting teams with market insights that support hiring strategies.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and sourcing documentation.
- Organize market maps and candidate pipelines in Google Sheets and the ATS.
- Ensure sourcing data remains clean, current, and actionable.
- Partner with recruiters to understand hiring requirements.
- Participate in search planning meetings.
- Communicate sourcing progress, pipeline health, and market challenges.
Qualifications
Required- Experience sourcing Engineering, Product, or Design talent for US-based startups or technology companies.
- Strong passive candidate sourcing experience.
- Advanced LinkedIn Recruiter skills, including Boolean search techniques.
- Experience using GitHub, Crunchbase, or similar research platforms.
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
- Strong organization and documentation skills.
- Professional written English communication.
- Ability to work with daily overlap during US Mountain Time business hours.
- Experience with AI, Climate Tech, FinTech, Cybersecurity, or Enterprise SaaS hiring.
- Experience building market maps or talent intelligence reports.
- Experience working in boutique or retained search firms.
- Familiarity with venture-backed startup environments.
- Experience researching patents, publications, or conference speakers.
