Efficiently assists the Department Manager in planning, leading, organizing, controlling, and coordinating Unit operations to achieve targets for cost control, quality workmanship, timeliness, safety, and sanitation, in full compliance with company and regulatory standards.

We are looking for a results-driven professional to assist the Department Manager in ensuring smooth, safe, and cost-effective operations. This role focuses on planning, organizing, monitoring, and continuously improving processes to meet operational goals for cost, quality, timeliness, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively supports the Company’s Quality Environment System (QES) to help reduce environmental impacts and maintain a safe, healthy workplace for employees, stakeholders, and the community.
  • Implements and sustains 5S or Good Housekeeping practices, including proper organization, visual order, and daily cleanliness.
  • Cooperates with the Occupational Health and Safety Committee (OHSC) and adheres to local and international safety standards.
  • Prepares the Unit’s budget, monitors expenses, and ensures operations stay within approved limits.
  • Coordinates with other units and departments to align activities and support shared goals.
  • Ensures continuous operations within set parameters, with adequate staffing and efficient work performance.
  • Regularly inspects equipment to ensure proper use, good maintenance, and safe operating conditions; oversees preventive maintenance.
  • Monitors and records operational activities and prepares timely reports on progress, issues, and corrective measures.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or escalates complex issues to the Department Manager.
  • Prepares and implements work plans, schedules, and resource allocations for operations and maintenance.
  • Assists in developing off-season and milling plans, budgets, material requisitions, and system improvements.
  • Oversees repair and maintenance work during off-season, weekly cleaning, or unscheduled shutdowns.
  • Monitors inventory of process and maintenance materials, ensuring timely requisition and availability.
  • Supports supervisory functions including attendance monitoring, leave approvals, and recommendations on personnel actions.
  • Enforces company policies, safety, and security regulations.
  • Recommends operational and process improvements; coordinates with consultants and managers to resolve technical issues and support new projects.
  • Trains and develops staff for skills, values formation, and succession planning; conducts information drives and orientations to communicate plans and goals.
  • Prepares and submits required reports accurately and on time.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
