Accounting Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:

The Accounting Supervisor for Taxation and Compliance is responsible for ensuring full compliance with all tax regulations, statutory reporting requirements, and internal control policies in accordance with Philippine laws. This role oversees all tax-related activities, coordinates audits, and supports the broader compliance framework of the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Taxation:

• Prepare and review accurate and timely filing of all BIR tax returns (e.g., VAT, EWT, Income Tax, 1701Q/1702Q, 2550M/Q, 1601C, 2316, 0619E, etc.).
• Ensure tax payments are remitted within prescribed deadlines to avoid penalties.
• Monitor changes in tax laws, BIR rulings, and ensure the company is compliant at all times.
• Coordinate with external tax consultants and legal advisors when necessary.
• Lead BIR tax audits, LOAs, and correspondences with tax authorities.
• Handle annual tax returns, reconciliation of books vs tax returns, and ensure proper documentation.

Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with all government regulatory agencies (SEC, BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, DOLE, etc.).
• Monitor and process business permit renewals, BIR registration updates, and LGU-related filings.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts and ensure they are duly registered with the BIR.
• Ensure proper filing and safekeeping of official receipts, invoices, and other accountable forms.
• Support in internal and external audit processes including documentation and data provision.
