Video Editor & Social Media Content Specialist (ZR_24203_JOB)

This is a remote position.

Schedule: Flexible hours, but must be contactable between 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM AEST, Monday to Friday

Total Weekly Hours: 20 hours

You’ll work on a wide range of projects — from editing corporate and creative videos to developing social media campaigns that capture attention and spark discovery.

Responsibilities

• Edit corporate videos, adding professional captions, graphics, soundbeds, hooks, and zooms to boost retention
• Edit long-form video podcast episodes for YouTube and audio platforms (multi-cam and single-cam workflows)
• Edit creative videos of musical performances
• Produce short-form highlight clips for YouTube Shorts, IG Reels, TikTok, etc., designed to maximize engagement
• Add sound design, music, and light color correction
• Organize audio/video files on cloud drives and manage editing timelines efficiently

• Create support content for social media: polls, blog posts, notes, stories, images, quotes
• Stay on top of current social media trends and know what makes videos engaging
• Research top creators across niches (music, business, philosophy, etc.) and provide style references
• Help identify and research potential podcast guests, and assist with interview preparation
• Support scheduling and post-release content strategies

• Ability to review and help write documentation for clients
• Audio mixing and mastering for podcasts

• Skilled in Premiere Pro and After Effects (or equivalent editing tools)
• Strong video editing abilities combined with strategic social media expertise
• Excellent understanding of social platform algorithms and audience behavior
• Ability to think deeply about content, with intuition for engaging topics across philosophy, business, music, and entertainment
• Organized, proactive, and able to work independently
