Posted on 12 May 2026Cleaning poultry houses before, during, and after production cycles
Removing manure, litter, feathers, and waste materials
Washing and disinfecting floors, walls, cages, feeders, and drinkers
Preparing poultry houses for new flocks (restocking preparation)
Proper disposal of dead birds following biosecurity protocols
Operating cleaning equipment (pressure washers, sprayers, etc.)
Following hygiene and disease-prevention procedures strictly
Supporting general farm maintenance tasks as needed
Qualifications/Requirements
Ability to do physical/manual labor (lifting, bending, long standing hours)Willingness to work in hot, smelly, or dusty environments
Basic understanding of cleaning and sanitation procedures
Ability to follow biosecurity rules strictly
High school level or graduate (varies by employer)
Experience in poultry farms or livestock handling (advantage but not required)
Knowledge of disinfectants and cleaning chemicals
Teamwork and reliability
No allergies to dust, feathers, or chemicals (preferred)
