COAT MAKER (3), PRESSER (2)

Performs any of the following tasks:

• Cutting of various kinds of barongs, shirts, coats, blazers, vests, and pants.
• Spreads fabric according to given instruction.
• Performs panel cutting of fabric prior to issuance to embroidery or printing.
• Performs cutting auxiliary materials such as lining and other embellishments.
• Pressing of embroidered fabrics, collar and other cut parts.
• Marking of various cut parts.
• Laying of fusibles on fabric and operating the fusing machine.
• Sewing of various kinds of barongs, shirts, coats, blazers, vests, and pants.
• Finishing operations including marking, button attachment, and lilip, trimming of excess threads, cleaning, and other manual operations.
• Cleaning and washing of stained garments.
• Operating the special machines like button holer, button sewer, bartack, embroidery, and pleating machines.
• Pressing of barongs, shirts, pants, blazers, coats and vests. Inspection of work-in-process, sewing output, and finished goods according to Onesimus’ quality standards.
• Assembly and attachment of hangtags to individual garments.
• Counts accessories, trims and supplies issued by superior.
• Checks quality of work before endorsing to the next operation.
• Re-processes returned rejects according to quality standards within the prescribed period.
• Thoroughly inspects quality of Made-to-order items according to given pattern, reference sample and written instructions.
• Counts and records quantity of work done per operation.
• Prepares daily output report and submits to superior.

1. Elementary level/High School Graduate
2. At least two years’ experience in his/her own field.
3. Preferably with exposure in formal men’s wear: coat, barong and pants.
4. Flexible, hardworking and with good moral character.
