We are a mid‑size company operating in the Semiconductor Test Interface business, serving global semiconductor manufacturers, OSATs, and test service providers.
This position will be based in Cebu, Philippines, which is home to a large and well‑established organizational footprint. The Cebu site provides strong technical, operational, and peer support, creating a collaborative environment that enables this role to succeed through close interaction with engineering, applications, customer support, and operations teams.
Role Overview
The In‑House Sales Engineer is responsible for managing, growing, and advancing all emerging customer accounts across the United States and South Asia. This role combines technical sales engineering, inside‑sales execution, and account development, while leveraging the strong Cebu‑based support organization to drive efficient and scalable growth.
Customer engagement is conducted fully through phone, video conferencing, and email, enabling global coverage without the need for dedicated on‑site regional resources.
Key Responsibilities- Sales Execution (Inside‑Sales Ownership)
- Own the full commercial sales cycle for emerging accounts, including:
- Technical inquiry qualification
- Quotation preparation and pricing alignment
- Commercial negotiation
- Order closure and booking
- Deliver timely and accurate quotations aligned with margin, lead‑time, and manufacturing constraints typical of semiconductor test interface products.
- Drive revenue growth while expanding design‑in penetration and interface content per customer.
- Maintain disciplined pipeline tracking and forecasting accuracy.
- Customer Development & Opportunity Identification
- Proactively identify new and emerging customers, programs, and device ramps within the US and South Asia regions.
- Leverage Cebu‑based technical and applications teams to support solution definition and customer education.
- Grow emerging accounts beyond transactional business through value‑based and application‑driven selling.
- Account Advancement (Emerging Accounts → Growing Accounts)
- Continuously evaluate emerging accounts for:
- Revenue growth trajectory
- Strategic technology relevance
- Long‑term program and platform potential
- Actively nurture high‑potential customers and programs for promotion to Growing Accounts status.
- Partner with sales leadership to recommend account advancement.
- Support a structured handoff of promoted accounts to assigned Account Managers for deeper, strategic, field‑based coverage.
- Basic level understanding of customer test requirements and translate it into test interface applications.
- Strong collaboration with design engineering, applications, operations, and customer support teams based in Cebu.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, or related discipline).
- 3–7 years of experience in Sales Engineering, Technical Sales, or Inside Sales, preferably within:
- Semiconductor test or test interface
- Semiconductor capital equipment or support technologies
- Proven success managing multiple accounts remotely and closing business without on‑site presence.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Revenue and bookings growth across emerging accounts
- Increased market share and interface content per customer
- Number of accounts successfully promoted from emerging to growing
- Quoting responsiveness, win rate, and customer satisfaction
