The Technical Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all technical aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company objectives. This role involves leading technical teams, optimizing processes, and ensuring high-quality deliverables while coordinating with other departments to drive successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Leadership & Management:

• Provide technical guidance and leadership to engineering and project teams.
• Ensure all technical activities align with project requirements, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Develop and implement engineering and technical strategies to optimize performance.

1. Project Oversight & Quality Assurance:

• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions.
• Conduct technical reviews and audits to ensure high standards and regulatory compliance.
• Implement and maintain quality control measures for project deliverables.

1. Coordination & Stakeholder Management:

• Work closely with project managers, procurement, and site teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies to address technical challenges.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to resolve technical issues effectively.

1. Risk Management & Compliance:

• Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure projects comply with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
• Keep updated with industry trends, standards, and technological advancements.

1. Process Improvement & Innovation:

• Develop and optimize engineering workflows and technical procedures.
• Introduce new technologies and innovations to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Lead training and development programs for technical staff.

1. Reporting & Documentation:

• Generate technical reports, progress updates, and risk assessments for management.
• Maintain accurate documentation of project designs, specifications, and changes.
• Ensure proper record-keeping for future references and audits.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
• Master’s Degree or Professional Certifications (e.g., PMP, PE, Six Sigma) are an advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a technical management or engineering leadership role.
• Proven expertise in project execution, design management, and quality assurance.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, design standards, and construction methodologies.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera P6, SAP, or equivalent technical software.
• Familiarity with HSE regulations, ISO standards, and risk assessment frameworks.

Soft Skills:

• Leadership & Team Management: Ability to lead and motivate technical teams.
• Problem-Solving: Analytical approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
• Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams.
• Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects efficiently.

Work Environment:

• Office-based with frequent site visits.
• May require travel for client meetings, inspections, and technical evaluations.
