Bookkeeping Team Lead
Role Summary
My Client is seeking for 2 Team Leaders, one is responsible for onboarding the client in delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality bookkeeping services while guiding and developing a team of Account Analysts. This role blends technical expertise, people leadership, and operational excellence to ensure a smooth and efficient financial service experience for clients in the ANZ region.While for the other Team Lead is to maintain the account coming from the onboarding team and build the team with end to end bookkeeping activities.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee end to end process - daily bookkeeping operations, including AR, AP, bank reconciliations, and treasury activities.
- Lead month-end close processes for multiple clients, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and proactive issue resolution.
- Conduct daily team huddles, manage workflow, and allocate resources effectively based on capacity and client needs.
- Coach, mentor, and develop staff to enhance performance, capability, and compliance with policies and controls.
- Maintain strong internal controls and standardized procedures across tools and platforms.
- Champion process improvements, operational efficiencies, and project-based enhancements.
- Stay updated on ANZ bookkeeping practices, industry standards, and evolving client requirements.
- Support ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 implementation efforts and perform other tasks as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Finance; CPA preferred.
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Team Lead or Supervisor in ANZ bookkeeping.
- Strong background in process improvement, project management, and performance leadership.
- Xero-certified with solid hands-on experience.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience in an offshore or BPO setup is a MUST.
