A service crew member is a frontline employee in the food, beverage, and retail industries. They are the face of the brand, responsible for greeting customers, taking and preparing orders, operating point-of-sale (POS) cash registers, and ensuring strict health, sanitation, and cleanliness standards in the dining or store area.
Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service: Greet customers warmly, assist with menu selections, answer inquiries, and promptly resolve any complaints to ensure a positive experience.Order Taking & Processing: Take orders accurately, input them into the POS system, and handle cash or credit card payments correctly.Food & Beverage Prep: Assist in the kitchen or behind the counter by assembling, cooking, or preparing orders to meet speed and quality targets.Cleanliness & Hygiene: Sanitize dining tables, service counters, and equipment.
Follow strict food safety and personal hygiene regulations.Inventory & Stocking: Receive, check, and store deliveries. Replenish stock bins, supplies, and shelves to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications/Requirements
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Friendly, patient, and capable of dealing with high-volume customer traffic. Multitasking & Time Management: Ability to stay organized, stand for long periods, and work efficiently during peak or busy hours.Teamwork: Willingness to cooperate with kitchen staff, cashiers, and supervisors to maintain store flow. Flexibility: Availability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and late nights.
