Software Engineer with specialization in SAP Purchasing (MM PO)

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Engineer with specialization in SAP MM / SAP Purchasing (MM PO) to support and optimize procurement and supply chain processes within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain operations, hands-on experience with SAP MM modules, and the ability to manage order management, procurement planning, and data validation with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain solutions in SAP MM / SAP Purchasing (MM PO) modules.
• Support end-to-end Supply Chain Management (SCM) processes, including:
• Long lead equipment procurement and budgeting
• Order Management & Fulfillment
• Demand Management, Prioritization, and Forecast Consumption
• Inventory and Procurement Planning
• Vendor Collaboration and What-if Scenario Planning
• Oversee Purchase Order (PO) contract issuances for data centers and ensure accurate data reporting.
• Monitor procurement cycle execution, identify potential delays, escalate issues, and define corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (site teams, finance, procurement, etc.) to gather required data and confirmations for smooth operations in procurement or funding tools.
• Perform monthly and quarterly equipment data validation and metrics reporting.
• Develop and maintain process flows and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Take ownership of procurement team delivery, including reporting progress and issues to leadership and client stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in SAP MM / SAP Purchasing (MM PO) module implementation and support.
• Strong knowledge of PO creation, amendment, and procurement lifecycles.
• Experience in supply chain operations, including order fulfillment, forecasting, and inventory management.
• Familiarity with procurement-related terminologies like lead time, budgeting, and equipment order lifecycle.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
• Proficient in Google Sheets and other spreadsheet tools for data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with Kinaxis or other supply chain planning tools.
• Experience in SAP MM Inventory Management.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
