About the role
We are seeking an experienced Unit Head - Insurance Sales to lead and manage insurance sales operations at our office in Ortigas, Pasig City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that offers a strategic leadership opportunity within our growing brokerage division.As Unit Head, you will be responsible for driving sales performance, building and motivating a high-performing team, and ensuring consistent delivery of quality insurance solutions to our client base. You will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and achieving our ambitious business objectives.
Key responsibilities- Lead, manage and develop a team of insurance sales professionals, setting clear performance targets and ensuring accountability across the unit
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion within the insurance brokerage sector
- Oversee the full sales cycle, from client prospecting and relationship building through to contract closure and ongoing account management
- Provide coaching, mentoring and training to sales team members to enhance their skills, product knowledge and sales effectiveness
- Monitor and analyze sales metrics, performance data and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and inform strategic planning
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Ensure compliance with all insurance regulations, company policies and industry standards in all sales activities
- Collaborate with other departments to support the seamless delivery of insurance products and services to clients
- Prepare regular reports on unit performance, pipeline activity and achievement against targets for senior management review
- Proven track record of at least 5-7 years in insurance sales, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a leadership or supervisory role within the insurance brokerage sector
- Strong understanding of insurance products, underwriting principles, and the brokerage business model
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead and develop high-performing sales teams to achieve and exceed targets
- Excellent sales acumen with a proven ability to generate new business and maintain profitable client relationships
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to interpret market data and identify growth opportunities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients, team members and stakeholders at all levels
- Results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on achieving sales targets and driving business growth
- Knowledge of relevant insurance regulations and compliance requirements in the Philippines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems
- Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, finance or a related field is preferred
- Relevant insurance qualifications or certifications are advantageous
