Unit Head - Insurance Sales

About the role

As Unit Head, you will be responsible for driving sales performance, building and motivating a high-performing team, and ensuring consistent delivery of quality insurance solutions to our client base. You will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and achieving our ambitious business objectives.

1. Lead, manage and develop a team of insurance sales professionals, setting clear performance targets and ensuring accountability across the unit
2. Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion within the insurance brokerage sector
3. Oversee the full sales cycle, from client prospecting and relationship building through to contract closure and ongoing account management
4. Provide coaching, mentoring and training to sales team members to enhance their skills, product knowledge and sales effectiveness
5. Monitor and analyze sales metrics, performance data and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and inform strategic planning
6. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
7. Ensure compliance with all insurance regulations, company policies and industry standards in all sales activities
8. Collaborate with other departments to support the seamless delivery of insurance products and services to clients
9. Prepare regular reports on unit performance, pipeline activity and achievement against targets for senior management review

1. Proven track record of at least 5-7 years in insurance sales, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a leadership or supervisory role within the insurance brokerage sector
2. Strong understanding of insurance products, underwriting principles, and the brokerage business model
3. Demonstrated ability to build, lead and develop high-performing sales teams to achieve and exceed targets
4. Excellent sales acumen with a proven ability to generate new business and maintain profitable client relationships
5. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to interpret market data and identify growth opportunities
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients, team members and stakeholders at all levels
7. Results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on achieving sales targets and driving business growth
8. Knowledge of relevant insurance regulations and compliance requirements in the Philippines
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems
10. Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, finance or a related field is preferred
11. Relevant insurance qualifications or certifications are advantageous
