Data Governance Manager - Analytics Company

Develop and Own Data Governance Framework Establish and maintain governance policies, standards, and procedures across the organization.

Lead Data Stewardship Initiatives Collaborate with data owners and stewards to define data elements, usage policies, and maintenance protocols.
Ensure Regulatory Compliance Align data management practices with regulations like GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, SOX, and other local compliance laws.
Drive Data Quality & Integrity Implement monitoring, auditing, and cleansing processes to maintain consistent and reliable data.
Metadata & Master Data Management Build metadata repositories and manage master data across systems for standardization and discoverability.
Risk Management & Information Security Alignment Partner with legal, risk, and cybersecurity teams to mitigate data-related risks.
Stakeholder Engagement & Training Act as the point of contact for data governance education across business units and promote a data-centric culture.

A successful Data Governance Manager should have:

Minimum 7 years of experience in data governance, compliance, or similar data management function
Proven background in enterprise environments, preferably in multinational firms or large local conglomerates
Expertise in data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA DMBOK, DCAM, COBIT)
Familiarity with data privacy and protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, SOX)
Strong understanding of metadata management, data quality assessment, and data stewardship best practices
Experience working with enterprise data platforms like Informatica, Collibra, IBM InfoSphere, Microsoft Purview, or similar
Proficiency in data cataloging, classification, and lineage mapping tools
