Position Overview:

Candidates should be comfortable taking full ownership of accounting processes in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounting operations, including GL maintenance, journal entries, and month-end close.
• Perform detailed reconciliations of bank, credit card, loan, AR, and AP accounts.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) with supporting schedules.
• Oversee billing, collections, and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely cash flow.
• Manage accounts payable processes, vendor relationships, and payment cycles.
• Maintain depreciation schedules and record fixed assets.
• Ensure timely compliance with licensing, regulatory filings, and insurance renewals.
• Develop customized financial reports and dashboards for internal leadership and client review.
• Provide proactive financial insights, variance analyses, and recommendations to leadership.
• Support annual 1099-MISC filings, tax preparation, and external audits as needed.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with US-based companies.
• Expertise in QuickBooks Online (certifications preferred).
• Deep understanding of partnership accounting and ownership structures.
• Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret financial data and identify trends.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Self-starter who thrives with minimal supervision in a fully remote environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple clients or entities simultaneously.

Nice-to-Haves:

• CPA designation or equivalent accounting certification (strongly preferred, not required).
• Experience advising entrepreneurial, founder-led businesses.
• Background supporting licensing, business registration, or insurance processes.
• Exposure to professional services, consulting, or educational industries.
