Job Summary
This role plays a vital part in driving process improvements, reducing rejection rates, and ensuring product quality through data-driven validation and testing.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and implement quality and process improvement strategies to support operational excellence.
- Conduct certification and validation of new and existing processes for continuous improvement and product development.
- Improve the detection accuracy and effectiveness of testers used in battery production.
- Monitor First Time Quality (FTQ) metrics and drive corrective actions for variances.
- Lead Gemba walks and ensure implementation of Non-conforming, MRB, and RCPA procedures.
- Conduct warranty analysis, including monitoring return rates per brand and battery size, and managing trends across product lines.
- Perform root cause analysis on returned batteries to identify systemic issues and recommend solutions.
- Summarize and analyze process performance data, including rejection rates and warranty returns, and coordinate action plans with other departments.
- Assist in the development of Control Plans, FMEA, MSA, and support systems to strengthen quality control processes.
- Develop and implement offline/online testers and testing procedures to enhance product validation.
- Contribute to cost-saving initiatives, plant technical support projects, and cross-functional improvement programs.
- Conduct basic training sessions on battery manufacturing and testing as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- At least 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer
- Proficient in data analysis using statistical tools
- Skilled in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Knowledgeable in QMS, environmental standards, and battery manufacturing processes
- Experienced in problem-solving techniques, root cause analysis, and systems development
- Familiar with Design of Experiments (DoE) and project management principles
- Ability to facilitate training sessions and collaborate effectively across teams
- Proficient in documentation and reporting
- Willing to be assigned on-site at our Sta. Maria, Bulacan plant
