What you'll be doing

Designing and overseeing the installation of reinforced concrete structures, including beams, columns, and slabs
Preparing detailed rebar shop drawings and specifications
Coordinating with project managers, site engineers, and construction teams to ensure the timely and accurate implementation of rebar work
Conducting regular site inspections to monitor the quality and progress of rebar installation
Identifying and resolving any issues or discrepancies related to the rebar work
Providing technical support and training to construction workers on proper rebar placement and tying techniques
Ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and company policies
Collaborating with the project team to optimise construction methods and minimise waste

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Rebar Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry
Thorough understanding of reinforced concrete design, detailing, and construction methods
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Familiarity with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and quality control standards
