About the role:
- Our client, a leading IT distribution company, seeks aSales/System Engineerto provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the sales cycle. The SE partners with the Channel Account Manager/BDM to understand customer business challenges, demonstrate the value of Pure Storage solutions, and build technical credibility. This role requires a deep understanding of data storage technologies, cloud computing, and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of3+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar technical role in the data storage industry. Experience with all-flash arrays, storage virtualization, and cloud storage is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding ofdata storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, object storage, and data protection.Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
- Highly motivated and self-directed, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Expertise: Serve as the technical expert on Pure Storage products and solutions.
- Sales Support: Partner with Channel Account Manager/BDM to qualify opportunities, develop sales strategies, and respond to RFPs/RFIs.
- Solution Demonstrations: Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations, highlighting the value proposition and addressing customer needs.
- Technical Presentations: Deliver technical presentations and workshops to customers, partners, and internal audiences.
- Competitive Analysis: Analyze competitive solutions and articulate Pure Storage's differentiators.
- Proof-of-Concept (POC) Management: Manage and execute POCs, ensuring successful implementation and demonstrating value.
- Technical Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong technical relationships with customer stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and engineering, to ensure customer success.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and Pure Storage product updates.
- Travel: Travel within the assigned territory as needed.
