Responsible for leading and overseeing the accounts receivable operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer payments, reconciliation, and resolution of payment discrepancies. This role provides financial analysis, supports collections, and contributes to process improvements.
The senior analyst also mentors junior team members and ensures compliance with financial policies and standards, supporting the overall financial integrity of the organization.
II. Duties and Responsibilities
Cash Application and Reconciliation- Oversee accurate and timely processing of customer payments (checks, online transfers, credit card transactions).
- Perform and review account reconciliations to ensure alignment between payments and invoices.
- Resolve complex discrepancies and unapplied payments in coordination with internal departments.
- Monitor aging accounts and coordinate with the collections team to reduce overdue balances.
- Analyze customer accounts and trends to assess credit risks and recommend actions.
- Ensure proper documentation and escalation of unresolved collection issues.
- Ensure adherence to company accounting policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and analyze AR aging reports, dashboards, and reconciliation summaries.
- Support audits by preparing and submitting required documentation.
