A Store Development Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting store expansion, renovation, and site development activities to ensure successful business growth and operational efficiency.
Key Roles and Responsibilities- Identify and evaluate potential store locations for expansion and business opportunities.
- Coordinate with landlords, brokers, contractors, and government agencies regarding site acquisition and permits.
- Conduct site inspections, feasibility studies, and market assessments.
- Monitor store construction, renovation, and fit-out projects to ensure timely completion.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Operations, Engineering, Marketing, and Finance for project alignment.
- Prepare project timelines, budgets, and status reports.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and local government requirements.
- Assist in lease negotiations and documentation processing.
- Track project progress and resolve issues that may affect store opening schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of store development projects, contracts, and permits.
- Support store opening activities and turnover processes.
- Recommend improvements for store layout, design, and development processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Architecture, Engineering, Real Estate Management, or related field.
- Experience in retail, construction, project management, or store expansion is an advantage.
- Strong coordination, negotiation, and project management skills.
- Knowledgeable in permits processing and site evaluation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project monitoring tools.
- Willing to do fieldwork and travel to different store locations.
