Warehouse personnel

About the role

This role is fundamental to maintaining smooth daily operations and meeting our customers' delivery expectations.

1. Receiving and unloading incoming shipments, verifying goods against documentation and recording items into the warehouse management system
2. Organising and storing products in designated locations, ensuring proper placement for easy retrieval and optimal space utilisation
3. Picking and packing orders accurately according to customer specifications and delivery requirements
4. Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
5. Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and scanning devices in a safe and efficient manner
6. Conducting regular inventory checks and reconciling physical stock with system records to ensure accuracy
7. Loading outgoing shipments and assisting with logistics coordination to meet delivery schedules
8. Reporting any discrepancies, damaged goods or equipment issues to management promptly
9. Supporting the team during peak seasons and assisting colleagues to maintain productivity

1. High school diploma or equivalent qualification as a minimum educational requirement
2. Prior experience working in a warehouse, distribution centre or similar logistics environment
3. Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, carrying and moving heavy items regularly
4. Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and basic computer literacy
5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when picking, packing and recording inventory
6. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
7. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and commitment to meeting deadlines
8. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
9. Knowledge of warehouse health and safety procedures and a commitment to maintaining safety standards
10. Willingness to work flexible hours, including early shifts or overtime when required
11. Forklift certification or material handling equipment experience is preferred
