A Human Resource Generalist must have a thorough understanding of the functions of the entire Human Resources Department. He or she will be responsible for assisting the Human Resource Manager with a variety of duties, including, new hire onboarding, training, payroll and benefits administration, employee engagement, enforcing company policies, and special assignments as needed.

He or she should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and most importantly, personable and approachable. This role involves maintaining manager and employee confidence by keeping human resources information confidential.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Executes new hire orientation and employee engagement programs.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants and employees, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintains database of employee records as well as manages the company’s human resource information system (HRIS).
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation and benefits, orientation and training, occupational health and safety, and employee engagement.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Performs other tasks as may be assigned from time to time by the Human Resource Manager.

  • Ability to handle difficult situations with the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality
  • HR competence and knowledge of HR processes and computer programs
  • Performs work accurately and thoroughly. Has regular and consistent attendance.
  • Reliable and personable; enjoy working with a diverse range of individuals and ensuring employee requirements and needs are met first
QUALIFICATION
  • Must be a Bachelor’s degree holder in Psychology, Human Resource Development and Management, or its equivalent.
  • Must have at least 1-2 years of relevant HR experience
  • Experience in using HR software and HRIS database is an advantage
  • Amenable to work hybrid work schedule in Cebu Office and on mid-shift schedule
