Tax and Compliance Specialist

Is currently looking for a Tax and Compliance Specialist who will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate tax compliance with Philippine tax laws and regulations. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of BIR requirements, is proactive in monitoring tax developments, and works well in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

What you'll be doing:

• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (VAT, EWT, WTC, Income Tax, etc.) in compliance with BIR regulations
• Ensure timely submission of all BIR reports and tax-related documentation
• Monitor and implement changes in local tax laws and regulations issued by the BIR, SEC, DOF
• Maintain and organize tax files, certificates, and supporting documents for audit purposes
• Liaise with the BIR for audits, assessments, and other tax matters
• Provide support in tax planning and optimization strategies to minimize tax exposure
• Reconcile tax accounts and assist in month-end/year-end financial closing
• Collaborate with the accounting and legal teams to ensure accurate tax reporting and risk management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage but not required
• At least 2 years of experience in Philippine taxation, either in a corporate or audit firm setting
• Strong knowledge of BIR processes, tax compliance requirements, and local tax codes
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Xero)
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred but not required Qualifications:

• Experience with tax audits and assessments
• Familiarity with eFPS, eBIRForms, and BIR CAS accreditation
• Proficient in SAP Business One
• Background in corporate or multinational settings
