Building maintenance technician

We are looking for an experienced Building Maintenance Technician that can perform the following responsibilities with ease and of quality. He/She must be computer literate as well, at least the basics, and is eager to learn. A 3-year work experience in the same field is an advantage.

General Responsibilities:

1. Inspect and Maintain Building Systems

• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems
• Fire alarms and sprinkler systems
• Elevators and escalators (if applicable)

1. Perform Preventive Maintenance

• Regularly check and service equipment to avoid breakdowns
• Maintain logs and schedules of maintenance work

1. Repair Building Infrastructure

• Patch walls, replace tiles, repair flooring
• Fix doors, locks, windows, and roofing as needed

1. Respond to Maintenance Requests

• Address and resolve tenant or employee maintenance complaints promptly
• Perform emergency repairs when necessary (e.g., leaks, power outages)

1. Monitor Safety and Security Systems

• Ensure building complies with health and safety codes
• Test emergency lighting, alarms, and exit signs

1. Oversee Contractors and Vendors

• Supervise third-party technicians during specialized repairs
• Ensure work is completed according to standards

1. Maintain Cleanliness and Orderliness

• Ensure maintenance rooms and tools are organized
• Dispose of hazardous materials properly

1. Inventory and Supplies

• Track and order maintenance supplies and equipment
• Maintain records of tools, usage, and repairs

1. Perform other relevant duties as assigned
