EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time
Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, including managing general ledger, financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, and internal controls. This role ensures the accuracy of financial data and compliance with applicable standards, laws, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including:
o General Ledger
o Bank Reconciliations
o Inventory Accounting
o Revenue and Expense Accounting
o Fixed Assets
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements in accordance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP/IFRS).
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements for management.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Coordinate and complete annual audits and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts; monitor variances and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national government reporting requirements and tax filings (e.g., BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
- Evaluate and improve internal controls and accounting procedures to ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, assign projects and deliverables, and evaluate performance.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee data.
- Coordinate with other departments to support overall business operations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or equivalent; CPA preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience; at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Experience in financial analysis and budgeting.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Knowledge of Philippine financial and taxation laws.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
